Sustainability Day

The Office of Sustainability hosted Sustainability Day on Wednesday October 22nd. This is a nation wide event held on many college campuses, but this was the first time that Temple University participated. SEA contributed by having a table with Sustainability Trivia. We asked participants three questions on the environment or environmental issues, and those who had two out of three correct won a prize. The polar bear also made an appearance, and grabbed the attention of the passersby along with the bag monster.



SEA also hosted our second farmers' market on Liacouras Walk. We had the same vendors come out, but they all expanded their inventory. We also sold vegan sandwiches from Govinda's. All was a success, except the weather. Business would have been much better if it had not been so cold. If there are more farmers' markets to come, they will hopefully be held inside. The next farmers' markets will potentially be scheduled for November 18th and December 9th, both of which are Tuesdays.
